With news that Coachella is returning for April 2021 (for now), I figured it is time to start this thread. Per Bloomberg, many of the 2020 acts have been asked to return for 2021. However, not all acts have been asked back and GV have stated that it is a new lineup. Things may start to get weird, as there are agents routing around October '21 Coachella dates. ~ means recently added

Welcome back! In this weekly post, I discuss the Dutch Charts of the week and I encourage further discussion in the comments! Let's get going. If you haven't, I recommend reading this post, as this one will make a lot more sense that way.
#06 (08): Racoon - Het Is Al Laat Toch Coming off surprisingly solid streaming and real Airplay momentum, this is making a run for Top 5 next week. #08 (09): Duncan Laurence - Love Don't Hate It Hitting a new peak in its 17th (!) week off high Airplay and, again, peaking on Streaming. However, it seems to have peaked on the radio now, so this might be where it strands. #11 (13): Alan Walker - Alone, Pt. II ft. Ava Max Solid performance and momentum in all categories, 99% sure this will hit the Top 10 next week off being added to highest rotation on 538. #15 (19): Dua Lipa - Physical Not gaining as fast as I would've thought, but the momentum is kinda there in both Streaming and Airplay. Should still hit Top 10 once radio is fully on board. #17 (36): Kris Kross Amsterdam, Emma Heesters & Tino Martin - Loop Niet Weg Streaming is consistent and it's picked up some radio. #20 (15): MEDUZA, Becky Hill & Goodboys - Lose Control I'm not sure why this fell so much cause it's been real consistent. Shows how competitive the 10-20 area is right now. #23 (28): Jonas Brothers - What A Man Gotta Do Also got momentum all-around, it's kinda getting there, but not looking to be a smash hit right now. #24 (--): Billie Eilish - No Time To Die Hopping in high off very strong Streaming and some form of radio... except that Streaming has faded a lot. Not looking good for its longevity. #25 (29): Robin Schulz - In Your Eyes ft. Alida Huge jump in streaming, stronger Airplay than ever and Top 10 on Shazam. This is a hit in the making and I was wrong. #26 (24): Yxng LE & Frenna - Wat Is Je Naam I was somewhat right, it did fall. However, not nearly as much as I thought. Maybe this is here to stick, which is valid, because of its consistency in Streaming (3-3-3-3-4 chart-run on the Single Top 100). #29 (21): Tones & I - Dance Monkey Finally taking a big hit, this is not looking to reach the elusive 900-points club. #30 (38): Khalid & Disclosure - Know Your Worth Picked up more radio this week. Has also now been added to Top Hits NL, so this is gonna be a real hit. #34 (26): Post Malone - Circles His biggest hit is finally fading out, losing 8 spots in its 25th week. It was a very good run. #36 (--): Justin Bieber - Intentions ft. Quavo Very good Streaming, now also going to be picking up radio. Unfortunate. However, if this song's run is anything like Yummy's, this will be gone very soon. #38 (--): Niall Horan - No Judgement AS from 2 weeks ago, only now getting on because of bad Streaming. However, said Streaming is growing now. #39 (--): Opgeblazen - De Toreador ft. Wilbert Pigmans I'm dead why is this here. Rose to Top 10 on Spotify this weekend. Here's the video cause I have nothing else to say about it. #40 (32): Chef'Special - Trouble Not necessarily decreasing in performance, just not enough room for it. #-- (39): Ed Sheeran - South Of The Border ft. Camila Cabello & Cardi B #-- (37): The Script - The Last Time #-- (33): JP Saxe - If The World Was Ending ft. Julia Michaels #-- (31): Selena Gomez - Rare
This week's AS: Sam Smith - To Die For Their 6th AS and, for the first time in three weeks, one with some sort of streaming presence. Poggers.
#02 (03): Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now Regaining its peak because its Airplay is just that much higher than #3 Smoorverliefd's. #04 (06): Lewis Capaldi - Before You Go Solid all-around, might have a shot at Top 3 next week. #05 (09): Martin Garrix & Dean Lewis - Used To Love Still has very strong Airplay, but the rest isn't as good. #14 (18): Sheppard - Die Young Could've been a big ruler on the radio, had it not been for Blinding Lights being that. However, #2 is still respectable. #23 (--): Billie Eilish - No Time To Die #26 (19): Dominic Fike - 3 Nights ??? there's no reason for this to fall #34 (45): Anne-Marie - Birthday And also no reason for this to rise, good job guys #42 (--): Miss Montreal - Hier Last week's AS, debuting fairly high for a song with no Streaming. #46 (--): Mesto - Don't Worry (Otsem Remix) And last week's DS, similarly lacking in Streaming.
This week's DS: Europa (Jax Jones & Martin Solveig) - Tequila ft. RAYE It's been like a year since the first Europa single, which did decently, so this has shoes to fill. However, it's not looking to have Streaming so far.
#03 (--): Billie Eilish - No Time To Die #05 (19): Justin Bieber - Intentions #10 (04): Roddy Ricch This looks like a big fall but honestly the difference between these spots isn't nearly as big as it seems. Still, definitely lost when compared to last week though. #12 (20): Justin Bieber - Yummy #16 (10): Maroon 5 - Memories That's a big streaming hit, and Airplay will be taking one of those next week. The evil is defeated. #26 (44): Opgeblazen - De Toreador ft. Wilbert Pigmans Only #41 on the Spotify weekly chart, meaning sales actually impacted the charts for once #31 (--): Justin Bieber - Forever ft. Post Malone & Clever #44 (71): Robin Schulz - In Your Eyes ft. Alida #53 (67): Sheppard - Die Young #55 (76): Suzan & Freek - Deze Is Voor Mij #58 (--): Defano Holwijn - Ringmntel ft. Shennumbanine #64 (83): Tones & I - Never Seen The Rain #79 (88): Doja Cat - Say So #80 (59): Sam Feldt - Post Malone ft. RANI I'm guessing this was removed from THNL this week lol. #81 (--): Jandro - VIP Girls #85 (--): Sam Smith - To Die For #90 (--): Cho - Vergeet #95 (RE): Wildstylez - Year Of Summer ft. Niels Geusebroek Okay take a seat cause this one's a woozy y'all. So this is a hardstyle song from 2012, which reached #2 and spent over a year on the chart, reaching the Top 100 of all time (altho somehow not making the decade-end chart). Sometime in the past 2 weeks, a Dutch Fortnite YouTuber (Royalistiq) sang it in a video. This spawned memes and brought this onto the Spotify chart for the first time, doing well enough to have this chart again. Jesus. The internet is wild. Also this song is really good. #98 (RE): Billie Eilish & Khalid - lovely #100 (--): Lil Mosey - Blueberry Faygo
Last, for anyone wondering, I'm going to drop the link to the Album Top 100 here. To (assumably) nobody's surprise, Justin Bieber grabs the #1, although Tame Imapal came closer than I would've thought. Roddy falls 3-7 from his peak as The Box falls too and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie closes out the Top 10.
Here it is! Our yearly megathread for rumors and confirmations for the Lollapalooza Chicago Lineup. Feel free to comment here if you see artists we can rule out or confirm or start speculating about. Confirmed: Artist has confirmed themselves through verifiable means or a major publication (such as Variety confirming Ariana Grande back in January for 2019) Rumored: Artist is confirmed through hearsay or through a 3rd party site. Take with a grain of salt. Likely: Artist is on tour and skips Chicago or has a decent gap around Lollapalooza Possible: Artist is active (playing other major fests and touring) and free during Lolla weekend Out: Artist is booked through Lolla weekend, Overseas during Lolla weekend without time to get back and play in Chicago, or the artist is playing Chicago close to the festival (Note: The radius clause is always changing. It's getting harder and harder to truly rule artists out. Some bands play in Chicago in June and end up coming back for Lolla so ruling artists out is tough) Confirmed (Artists Confirmation, Lolla Confirmation, Legit Source)
Confirmed by retweet from Jamie Oborne, head of The 1975's record label Dirty Hit and their manager. Brought to us first by u/yonoella

User u/jesus4jews2 (Note: this is not the same person as J4J who used to bring us scoops in the past) Lolla was using Foo Fighters in a bid to get a CPG Supplier to sign on for an activation at the festival. Also skipping Chicago on their May tour. Pretty much a lock.
Insider message to me from the user that brough us the Tame Impala confirmation first last year for 2019. NOTE: Our insider has said that Cudi might get pushed back to next year because his album isn't far enough along.

2017.09.23 15:06 scrilling19Hardwell should be the #1 DJ for DJ Mag this year.
Obviously, we all know this contest doesn't hold much weight after the Dmitri Vegas and Like Mike fiasco of iPad votes two years ago. Last year, Martin Garrix released In the name of love and then a 7 track EP and I feel like he deserved the #1 spot. Now, the consensus top 5 usually is DVLM, Garrix, Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto. Tiesto will not be number 1. Armin Van Buuren did well with the Vini Vici track and amazing versatility in his sets at Ultra and Tomorrowland but still won't be enough due to the popularity of Garrix, Hardwell and DVLM. Dmitri Vegas and Like Mike will kill all this contest's relevance if they win this year. The year they won, they had The Hum and energetic sets at Tomorrowland and Bringing Home The Madness. This year was probably one of their worst sets at Tomorrowland and an above average track in Complicated with Kiara and David Guetta. Comes down to Garrix and Hardwell. Good thing is that Garrix and Hardwell don't lobby for this contest the way they used to which in turn can make many fans vote for them as opposed to the in your face begging of votes from DVLM on Twitter and Tomorrowland. Comes down to body of work. In terms of singles, Garrix is coming off a solid 7 track EP from last year which was basically him giving back to his hardcore EDM fans in the light of mainstream success. Scared To be Lonely did well commercially. There For you was a strict pop record that waned in comparison to the aforementioned and In the name of love. Byte with Brooks and Pizza are two classics from Garrix that still maintain his staple sound we all fell in love with. His alias Area 21 came out with some solid releases also in Girls, Spaceships, and We Did It. In terms of sets, his Ultra set was above average and wasn't released due to sound issues. His Tomorrowland set had one of the best closes in recent memory with Pizza, which was an ID at the time. Solid Tomorrowland set and his overall popularity in the world has him repeating as the number 1. He is definitely the favorite. Now to Hardwell. When it comes to strictly EDM, Hardwell is the king. His Hardwell on Air series has been solid every week with new exclusives from various artists every week. Gives you perspective that his peers respect him a whole lot. His sets have been amazing. The Ultra set restored faith in many that festival crowds still can bring the energy like they used to a few years ago. His Ultra Europe set had high energy with great mashups throughout in a hour and a half set. Now to his music. He started playing Hardstyle last year and now a lot of mainstream artists play hard style. Not to mention, Defqon playing one of his tracks during a close goes to show that the hardstyle community respects his input to make the genre more popular. He had okay tracks that he tried to cater to the mainstream fully in Thinking About you with Jay Sean, Creatures of the Night with Austin Mahone and No Holding back with Craig David. Had solid remixes with Crank(HWL edit) by Jewels and Sparks and Go Down Low by Badd Dimes. I think the key for him being number 1 should be his EDM singles, the majority of them being on his releases Revealed Volume 1 and Revealed Volume 2. He doesn't ask for votes for DJ Mag but his timing to release two solid EPs during the summer definitely gives a sign he's looking to take the throne back and deservingly so. Both these EPs showed variation in terms of genres from track to track. Very solid releases such as We are One, Make the World Ours, We are Legends, Police, All That we are living for, Smash this beat, Bad, Still the One, What We need, Powermove and Here Once again. Not to mention, above average releases such as Power, Baldadig, and Get Down. Hardwell wins this year based on extremely strong work ethic through his radio shows, solid sets and strong EPs showcasing versatility. But if we are going by strict popularity, Garrix has to be the favorite to repeat. Your thoughts?

NOTEABLE COMMUNITY SUGGESTIONS
"A new subreddit called edmhate for all the people in this subreddit to go that seem to enjoy bashing other people's music, work, and ideas more than promoting their own thoughts of what is good." - Anonymous Hero "I love how much effort the mods have been putting in lately. I think for the songs of the month, there should be a poll. Ask people for 5 suggestions, then do a poll. I think there should also be an emphasis on underground music. Maybe make an activity that includes music that is good, but not popular. You could do a "Five under 5000 (plays or views)" of the week. I know this would require a lot of research, so you would probably want to tweak it so that it works for you." - Anonymous Innovator I love the under 5000 views playlist idea! "Invite high profile sub members or very active members to create a short weekly playlist with 15-20 tracks of their choice to showcase the members' favorite up and coming producers & tracks (trap has this and it's a great way to help expose talent to a broader audience/find good new music) - the idea is to choose tracks that are less likely to make it to the top of the front page (e.g. Not from artists like Garrix, Dillon Francis, KSHMR etc)" - Anonymous Innovator We already have something similar planned for our Member Spotlight! Stay tuned. :) "Keep up with the top 15 weekly playlists that were posted to SoundCloud!" - Anonymous Enthusiast KingNickythe1st is on top of it baby! "More Discord Events" - Anonymous Sounds like a plan, Stan "there's supposed to only be throwback shit on thursdays, correct? why am i still seeing potter robinson language karma grab cancer" - Anonymous Concerned Citizen It was no throwbacks allowed on Friday, but honestly we are thinking about limiting them to Thursday or the weekend. Too many of them all the time.
That's all for today, folks! Please go vote on the new poll. :)
2017.03.08 05:59 sconce2600I have compiled all the data from this sub and broken down who is out and who is still in play, I will update this list daily until the lineup is released.
Edit 4/4: The lineup has dropped, bold denotes acts playing This is a list of acts that are potentially in and are most certainly out for OSLs 2017, I mostly stuck to notable names so that I only had to turn over hundreds of rocks rather than thousands. I intend to update this list via edit from now until the lineup drop (within 30 days at this point I should think). If you want to add someone to this list just comment below and I will modify the list and credit your handle next to the edit. Beyoncé: While she will have had her babies by the time OSLs rolls around it would be a real snub to Coachella if she played any other festivals after her cancelation, despite her now playing Coachella 2018.
Billy Joel: Billy has a show in Chicago the Friday of OSLs, while it is possible that he could play Saturday or Sunday it would seem that he never plays a show without a few days off in between.
Van Morrison: Playing gigs in Ireland the Saturday and Sunday of OSLs.
Badbadnotgood: Playing Haldern Pop Festival in Germany that weekend
Buddy Guy: Playing Thunder Valley Casino on July 29th, it's close enough that it probably rules him out and it wouldn't make much sense to hang around for two weeks or leave and come back for OSLs.
Guns N' Roses: Playing a show in NC on Friday and PA on Sunday.

The following are acts that are still in play that have been mentioned in this sub since January 1st, this does not mean that every name below is necessarily likely so much as not eliminated. Potential Headliners
Arcade Fire (Arcade Fire Tube tweeted the band let slip they'll be coming to Montreal in the Autumn/Fall) Edit 3/17/17: reasons for probability added (mknap24)
I think you kinda nailed it with the 'copy paste' remark... the sound is boring, typical, overdone and really does all sound the same. I remember when my dad used to say 'dance music all sounds the same' and that was 10 years ago... I used to think he was crazy. Now because of 'big room house' I can finally agree with him.
Good question - The ones who do go out and achieve at their highest levels are often very ambitious, but it doesn't mean they are better people. They are driven, but some of the most incredible people I've ever met are doing 'normal' things. If one considers anything in life normal.
If Armin invites me... He hasn't lately. Trance fans are very picky. Obviously I love trance and produce a lot of it! But I also love to make other genres too.. so I like my fans to be extremely openminded. The other night I dropped Blink 182 in my set!!
BT once hit me up for a remix, he loved it and we started working together. Since then we'd been good friends! I'm probably not on ASOT because Armin seems to only push Armada artists and pure trance, my music these days is a lot more free.. it doesn't have rules and I don't mind branching out into any style I want. I'd love for him to keep playing my music but they didn't ask me to play ASOT again because I wasn't exactly 'trance' apparently. No issue with Armada though as I just released 'Hotel Rooms' with them. I guess it's more a stylistic thing and possibly business related. I love those guys though and without Armin I wouldn't have the fans I do now.
Dash doesn't have a ghost producer, they ARE 3 people. WIKI them, Dash used to be Venga boys too.. they are super talented. It's a common misconception that Dash is one guy but in fact Geoffrey is just the DJ, there is also 2 other guys in the team of DB.
And secondly, I hate the new movement in EDM where nobody is being original.. this whole 'bangers' phase is what drove me to create the 'Hotel Rooms' album. I appreciate original artists :) I think that helped me a lot at Paradiso!
Aww thank you! I never plan my shows.. I must say I knew I was going to finish on the Blink 182 mash for Valentines day (I made that on the flight over) but besides that I always my sets up on the spot.
Well it had to be done... Australia's dance scene is becoming very 'unmusical' - Just an overdose of 'bangers'. America has embraced my very 'melodic' style. I can play anything I want here, also I sell out shows a lot all over the the states, Australia just has a different taste I think. I will come back for lots of tours though, it's always home to me :)
Heya! Well it's certainly merged with other genres now. 'Pure 138' trance is kind of gone which is a bit sad but I know a few who still support it. I always have my 'trance' roots that come through in my new songs, they may be other styles too but always with feeling!
Hey mate! When you get into very low sub ranges you want to be careful. Roll off anything that doesn't need bass. Even guitars will give low end sub movement that you don't need. So just drop out parts that won't be / need to be heard in the mix. Focus on the elements like bass obviously.
